They tell me you are a man with true grit.
They told me you had grit and that is why I came to you.
I was informed Rooster Cogburn had grit and I hired him out to find the murderer.
I said, "They tell me you are a man with true grit."
They told me you had grit
"They say he has grit," said I. "I wanted a man with grit."
I was informed Rooster Cogburn had grit and I hired him out to find the murderer.
They tell me you are a man with true grit. →
They tell me you are a man with the right stuff.
brave perseverance invincible spirit indomitable courage, toughness, or resolution fortitude and determination firmness of mind or spirit unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger
They think they got the right stuff.
What stuff? Heroism, bravery?
Heroism and bravery are part of it… but, there's more to it.
