クーパーのフェイス７は最終形態ではラストの打ち上げシーンに絞り込んで締め括られるが、実はスクリプト（Revised Draft February 1982）に―
OMIT SC ## 197 – 210 （Cooper Launch Sequence）
とあり、初期段階のスクリプト（Revised Draft December 1981）の 197～210 にあったフライト中のクーパーの様子―例えば（打ち上げ時ではなく）飛行中の居眠り（Gordo asleep in his capsule, drifting through space.）やフェイス７のトラブル（Sparks shoot off control panel.）・手動による再突入（Gordo is smiling his rat-racer’s smile, using a gentle stick n rudder touch on the controls）等々、当然 ハイライトシーンに想定していたに違いないクーパーの見せ場（ライトスタッフの証明）が惜しげもなく丸ごと省かれ（omit され）ていて、しかも元々はフェイス７の帰還（210 As the strange parachute unfurls and below is an aircraft carrier.）からバーベキューパーティ（211 INT HOUSTON COLISEUM）へと大胆に時系列をひっくり返す展開だった。（その3035参照）
だからこそ、クーパーとトゥルーディ（のコンバーチブル）が先頭で入場するとなっていたわけで。（その3380参照）
このフェイス７のシーンではシラー（Capcom）の出番があるはずだったところ―
