ジャックリーンが（気を利かせて）ケネディに勲章をシェパードの胸に着けてやりなさいと声をかけると、ルイーズと母親が嬉しそうに（「まあ、すみません」と）ジャッキーに顔を向ける。（ように見える）

同様に（ローズガーデンで）ケネディから授章されるゴードン・クーパー（家族同伴）の映像もあるけれど、検索するまでもなく ガス・グリソムのそれはない。
やはりグリソムにもケネディに（おざなりでもいいから）称えてもらいたかった…
1965年 グリソムはモリー・ブラウン（ジェミニ 3）でリバティベルの汚名を雪ぎ、ようやく（｢ライトスタッフ｣でもベティが訴えていた）貸しを返してもらう。
