【誰にともなしに、独り言レス―その3506】
さて、“First Pilot”（ジョージ・ウェルチ物語）てな妄想をしとりまして、アームストロングの “First Man” では憎まれ役／ちょい役（誰？って感じ）でパワハラ腹黒おやじのイェーガーに甘んじてたけども（その2892、3437参照）、ここではウェルチに対しての人間サウンドバリア的壁（the sonic wall）みたいな圧倒的存在で当然メインキャスト―ヘタするとウェルチのほうが脇っぽくなるくらいの（純正ライトスタッフ・ファン対応の定位置）センター・ポジションに立つ―だからウェルチはイェーガーという壁を突破しようとしたのかと納得させられるような風格（ライトスタッフのオーラ）を漂わせつつ。
で、エピローグのシーンだけはイメージできていて、F-100A のフライトテストに向かうウェルチにイェーガーが真顔で声をかける―
“Hey, Wheaties, just watch you don't screw the pooch.”
笑って飛び立つウェルチに「ライトスタッフ」式のナレーションをかぶせて―

かくしてウェルチは for a brief moment（ほんの束の間）にすぎないがイェーガーより先に the greatest pilot になったのであった… てな感じの締めですか。
