言うまでもなく（昔から言うとるが）、わたしは「ライトスタッフ」のトゥルーディ＝パメラ・リードを贔屓にさせてもらってるけども、The Right Stuff TV series のキャストは（たぶん）そのパメラ・リードに似せたイメージのエロイーズ・マンフォード Eloise Mumford
役作りするのにトゥルーディ自身の情報が（ネット上にも）殆どないので、トゥルーディが強く感化されたであろうアメリア・エアハートら往年のレディース・パイロットを知り共感するという仕方でアプローチした―
And so I started researching the women who she would have found great inspiration from and use that as a way to figure out a little bit more about her spirit, the female pilots of the '20s and '30s and the '40s, like Amelia Earhart and Ruth Elder, and the list goes on and on. と語っている。（おっ、やっぱりそうか）
ならば、そんな（I found a lot of inspiration for Trudy.）エロイーズ・マンフォード演じるトゥルーディ像を ＞地味で薄っぺら（その3367参照） などと dis るのは（地味には違いないにしても）およそ薄っぺらなわけなく単純な誤解― とはならない。
要するにベクトルがライトスタッフ（純正ライトスタッフ・ファン好み）に向いてないゆえ―風向きがライトスタッフなら（錚々たる顔ぶれに Amelia Earhart and Ruth Elder に加えて）Pancho Barnes の名前は必須だろうから。
